In 1935, Archie Barnich opened the agency on Main Street in Cheboygan, Michigan. In 1961, after 25 years of successful expansion, William Kavanaugh and Gary Cooper joined the firm and the company soon adopted its present name:
Barnich, Kavanaugh and Cooper, Inc.
Today, over 70 years since Archie first opened his doors, Barnich, Kavanaugh and Cooper, Inc. maintains the original business philosophy of putting our customers' needs first.
We have grown to be one of the largest insurance agencies in Northern Michigan.
